Who we are

Sitewright is the trading name of Sitewright MB Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC896445), registered office 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. These terms cover our website builds and our Care and Grow plans. If anything here is unclear, email hello@sitewright.xyz before you sign up and we'll explain it.

Prices and VAT

All prices on our website are final. We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add. If that changes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any change to what you pay. Invoices are due on receipt.

The website build

  • Price. £1,800, paid in two halves: 50% to start, 50% on launch day.
  • Scope. The build includes up to 5 pages. Legal pages such as a privacy or cookie policy don't count toward the 5. Before you pay anything, we map out every page with you. If your site needs more than 5 pages, the extra pages are quoted at that point, so the full price is fixed before work starts.
  • Timing. Your site goes live 14 days from kickoff, as long as feedback comes back within 2 working days at each stage. If we're waiting on you for feedback, content or access, the 14 days pause until we hear back.
  • Revisions. One round of edits on the copy and two rounds on the design. Further rounds, or changes to the agreed scope once work has started, are quoted before we do them.
  • What we need from you. Your logo, any photos you want to use, accurate information about your business, and access to your domain.
  • Google Business Profile and Search Console. We set these up with you at launch. Google requires the business owner to verify a Business Profile, so that step is yours, and we'll guide you through it.
  • Deposit. If you cancel before kickoff, we refund the deposit in full. Once work has started, the deposit is not refundable, because it covers the scoping and work already done.

Costs not included

The build price covers our design, writing and development. These are not included and are invoiced separately after launch:

  • Your domain name, registered in your name
  • Business email accounts
  • Stock photography or paid fonts, if you choose to use them
  • Any paid third-party tools your site needs, such as a booking system

Who owns the site

Once the build is paid in full, the design, the code and the content we wrote for you are yours. Your domain is registered in your name from the start. We may show your site in our portfolio. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't.

Care plan

  • Price. £250 a month, or £2,500 a year paid upfront.
  • First month. Every build includes the first month of Care free. Care only continues after that if you choose to keep it.
  • What's included. Hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, security updates, a monthly SEO report and 2 small edits a month.
  • Small edits. A small edit is a change that takes up to about 30 minutes, such as updating text, swapping photos or changing opening hours. Unused edits don't roll over to the next month. Larger changes are quoted separately.
  • Cancelling. Monthly Care can be cancelled at any time and ends at the end of the month you've paid for.

Grow plan

  • Price. £500 a month, or £5,000 a year paid upfront. Monthly Grow has a 3-month minimum, then runs month to month.
  • What's included. Everything in Care, plus an unlimited queue of requests, a monthly report with ongoing SEO work, and a 20-minute check-in call each month.
  • How the queue works. You can add as many requests as you like and put them in any order. We work on one at a time, starting at the top. When one is finished, the next one starts.
  • Request size. Each request should take about 2 working days or less. We decide how a request is sized. If something is bigger, we'll split it into several requests and tell you before we start, or quote it as a separate project.
  • Bugs. If something we built stops working, fixing it goes to the top of the queue and is free.
  • Availability. Grow is limited to 20 clients at a time.

Sites we didn't build

We can take on Care or Grow for a website someone else built, after a paid review of the site. The review is quoted up front and tells you what, if anything, needs fixing first.

Yearly billing

Yearly plans are paid upfront and cost the same as 10 months. They aren't refundable for unused months, but your plan keeps running until the end of the year you've paid for.

If you leave

Whether you decide not to keep Care after the free month or cancel a plan later, your site is yours to take. We hand over the code, your domain and access to everything we set up, and help you move the site to your own hosting. We aim to complete a handover within 10 working days of your request.

If a project stalls

If we haven't heard from you for 30 days during a build, we may pause the project. When you're ready to pick it up again, we'll schedule it around other work.

Late payment

If an invoice is unpaid, we may pause work on your site or plan until it's settled. Hosting stays on during that time.

Liability

We build and look after your site with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for losses caused by third-party services outside our control, such as hosting providers, domain registrars or Google. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the issue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

If you're buying as a consumer

Most of our clients buy for their business. If you're buying as an individual rather than a business, you have statutory rights under UK consumer law, including a 14-day right to cancel, and nothing in these terms affects them.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Changes don't apply to work you've already agreed to unless we both agree.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
